THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Needed: Print and cut out 10 sheep images

RESCUER

THE BEST GIFT

Make a Christmas Card for someone!

Supplies: White Cardstock paper, Scissors, Colored Construction Paper, Markers, Baby Jesus printout (below)

Cut your cardstock paper in half and fold each half to make a card. Trace and cut out your child’s hand. Glue it on the card. Cut thin strips of yellow paper to make hay and glue them on the hand (now a manger). Color Baby Jesus. Cut him out and glue him in the “manger”. Write a Christmas note and mail it to someone to remind them of Jesus’ love this Christmas.

KING OF KINGS

Crown Supplies: Poster board works best for this activity. You can use regular cardstock, but you may have to tape or staple two pieces together. Markers, Crayons, glue, scissors, tape, staples, gems or sequins.

Freehand or use the template to trace and cut a crown. Decorate as desired.

LION OF JUDAH

Supplies: Paper plate, glue (white glue works better than glue sticks), red, yellow, red & black construction paper, White cardstock, markers or crayons, scissors, tape, jumbo craft stick

Lion Mask Instructions: Cut out the center of a paper plate. Cut strips of yellow, red, and orange paper. Little ones can glue straight strips around the face of the plate, older children may enjoy rolling the strips around a pencil and then releasing for a curly mane. Tape a jumbo craft stick to the mask. You can leave it at just a mane, or add a half circle with nose/mouth/whiskers features.

SACRIFICE

For the Cross craft, choose whatever supplies you might have on hand or that your child would enjoy. If you have time to prepare ahead, check your local craft store for cross options. Our local Walmart had several wood cross shapes and little suncatcher crosses. Or keep it simple and cut a cross shape from cardboard or even print a simple shape on cardstock paper.

I pulled out all kinds of decorating mediums from my craft drawer to let my children’s creativity flow, but you could also just leave it at markers and crayons. Here’s what my children came up with.

REDEEMER

To make a wordless book: Cut your 5 colored papers down to the size you prefer. Arrange in the correct order and staple. Alternatively, you may fold each piece in half, stack and glue together before stapling to make each page a solid color instead of the half pages.

Color order: Gold, Black, Red, White, Green

If you’d like to make the felt story shapes, they are: Gold foam>crown, black felt>heart, red felt>cross, white felt>heart, green felt>leaf

LORD

Cut long triangle shapes from colored paper. Decorate as desired. Add “Jesus is Lord” in bold lettering. Use tape to secure a pencil or thin dowel rod to the back.
