For years, I have struggled finding Jesus-centered learning and play sets for children around Easter. Always Easter eggs, cute books and pictures, but when it comes to physical hands-on playsets, I found them scarce to none. My heart for my kids is to know Jesus. Knowing Him begins with knowing about Him. Not just the sweet baby Jesus in a manger, but all of His life… His purpose… the reason He came. Because of Easter, we have HOPE. We have LIFE and we have a message to share!
Enter the Holy Week Stories and Gift Set. I’ve written these stories in a way that everyone gets something. There are 8 days beginning with Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday. Each day has a Scripture reading, a toddler story, a kid story, a devotional and hands on activity ideas. Each peg is hand-painted and sealed so it can withstand little hands. Accessories are unfinished wood and various felt & clay pieces. (Note that the pieces *are* small, so supervision is recommended.) There is also the option to purchase a spiral bound book, or digital file separate from the gift set.
My hope and prayer is that your children will experience the story of Easter in a new way this year, and that they will be able to tell and retell the story and truths of why Jesus came.
